Shadowfiend - concept art

This creature I'v made up myself and is its writhen in the title, its a Shadowfiend and its what you get if you mix corrupted shadow magic with varius types of animal souls.
Its body is completly made out of shadow and has no substance whatsoever, except the mask. Each induvidual has a different formed mask, but they have always the mark of corruption inprinted on it in any way imagionable.
They can take the form of avery animal they have the soul of, example; one can change into a raven if it has a raven soul mixed in, but not a horse if its no soul of a horse in its being.
but usualy they take a dog/wolfish form.
they can go from being 2-3 meters high, but since they can shapeshift the size can differ, but normaly not smaller than avarage. They make noises that sounds like hyenas with a slight echo in it.
they are weak to sun light and stays mostly in dark places to cover. that makes them ofcourse strongest during night time.
They have also the power to travel thrue and between shadows, meaning its a bitch to fight them in a forest or other places with alot of things casting shadows which can make them jump into a shadow and apper right behind you.
even tho their bodies is like smoke they can still stiffen a oart of the body like claws on the feet or make a giant mouth filled with razor teeth under the mask. but they can only keep it up for like 13 seconds, then they have to hid and recover energy.

They are one of Malgord's favorit experiments and he uses them alot to things like guards and to spying and to reports.
But since they don't have an IQ passing over more than that of a dog (or bird, depends) he most likly have to conect with their mind to see what they have seen; and Yes, they can see! very well actually to have no visible eye, like at all!
